MBFW – Fashion week Berlin 4th day – my personal Highlight Dimitri

Dimitri (Dimitrios Panagiotopoulos – his real name) has always been my secret favorite during the fashion weeks, but with this collection he has surprised me – once again – positively. The colors, the cuts, the patterns, the models, the hairstyles – the complete fashion show was perfect.

The Show

The lights went out, the music and lights went on again and the models began to run down the catwalk. 70s pants, wide belts, platform shoes, caftans and bright colors, a little hippie chic meets classy.

Good mood Feeling – both the audience, as well as the models. Many accessories such as belts with fancy elements and large chains, sequins, figure-hugging bell bottoms combined to airy silk tops, headbands and lots of bracelets.

Models & Styling

The model casting was great. Not too skinny, but with good bodies for bikinis and swimwear.

Hairstyles were very trendy. Soft waves that looked natural and underlined the ‘festival look’ of the Dimitri fashion.

MY OPINION:

Almost all parts of the clothes are absolutely ready to wear. It could hang directly in every closet – especially in mine.

His spring / summer 2016 collection corresponds not only to my personal style, there is something for everyone. Who does not like flared pants, could find there also skinny or leather jeans. All of it in nice combination with silk tops. You could even choose a long dress or a nice and sexy minidress.  The rocking 70’s style of the designer Dimitri impressed me most from all I’ve seen during the fashion week in Berlin.

You will find often absolutely great clothes on stage but you will ask yourself “when will I have the chance to wear that”. That’s not the case here. You could use it for a dinner out, a business meeting or a party all night long.
A label, which I’ll definitely keep an eye on it and an online store, which is already firmly anchored in my bookmarks.
