Interview and Contest
Windsurf Worldcup Sylt
This year the DAVIDOFF Cool Water Windsurf World Cup in Sylt took place from September 25th to October 04th.
There are the disciplines wave, slalom and freestyle. Sylt is very important for world ranking points and moreover there is the highest price money – 120.000 Euro.
Besides the great windsurfers there are a lot of side events.
Like last year (w) I was there and took some pictures, interviewed some great Windsurfer and I also had lot of fun.
Unfortunatly there was no wind.
Although the weather was gorgeous, sun, blue skies but Windsurf Worldcup with no wind…
Of course the athletes did still a lot out of it. There was, for example the Tow-in sessions. That was awesome seeing the Windsurfer flying through the air. Very impressive.
Another Highlight was the Philips Windsurf Night-Session.
Nearly 200,000 visitors came to this small island Sylt for various reasons. Some sports enthusiasts, but also some who come every year just to celebrate. They hardly notice the actual event. You don’t believe me? But it’s true. Some of the folks partied all day and all night long.
Take a look at this wonderful sundown in Sylt…
Sylt is the largest North Frisian Island in Germany.
The date for the next year is also already settled.
30.09.2016 bis till 09.10.2016
